Here are a few things from Costco that are a deal for an urban survival specialist for a quick buy.

5 gallon pail of hard white wheat for 43 cents a pound – 18 buks

5 gallon pail of rolled oats at 69 cents a pound

Quinoa cheaper than my local chain natural food store – $2.80 a pound.

Anyhow, go out and get some whole grain and learn to cook it.

Did you know that quinoa is a grain with all the needed proteins for survival. Matter of fact, it is really high in protein – more than any other grains! Works great instead of couscous.  Just be sure to rinse it prior to cooking to get rid of the soapy taste.
